Sanford, ME — Jun 28, 2011 — Today Plixer International announced that its network traffic monitoring solution, Scrutinizer NetFlow and sFlow Analyzer, was awarded a Certificate of Networthiness (CoN) for the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) Army installations.

Certificate of Networthiness is a requirement for all enterprise software products to be used by anyone in the Army Enterprise Infrastructure Network. With a CoN Scrutinizer is now on the Army Authorized Product List which allows the US Army and Defense organizations operating within the Army’s infrastructure the ability to utilize Scrutinizer’s best-in-class NetFlow monitoring capabilities.

“It’s an honor to receive this Certificate of Networthiness” says Michael Patterson, Product Manager of Scrutinizer. “We are committed to providing the most comprehensive and reliable traffic monitoring tools to the U.S. Armed Forces, and this certification allows us to more fully support the Army with maintaining and fortifying its growing network infrastructures and ensuring a stable and optimized experience for its end users.”

Plixer International’s IT traffic monitoring system which specializes in NetFlow and sFlow analysis now meets the full compliance of the Army Infrastructur’s strict standards. As detailed in the certificate itself, all reports generated are web-based and provide information on bandwidth utilization, applications in use and traffic flow.”

With constantly evolving IT infrastructures making network landscapes increasingly more elaborate, it’s more important than ever that network administrators have the necessary insight into the traffic patterns on the network to more quickly and easily troubleshoot congestion, plan for capacity requirements and ensure high quality host and user connectivity. Scrutinizer allows federal agencies the glimpse they need into the intricacies of their network to help achieve these goals.

Scrutinizer NetFlow and sFlow Analyzer has recently released version 8.6.1, adding several key features including enhanced support for Cisco’s Performance Monitoring of medianets and more defined compatibility for additional vendors. The various departments of the U.S. Army will benefit collectively from the availability of this latest release as they can employ it to successfully guarantee VoIP call quality, as well as video conference stability.
