McAfee Cybersecurity Expert Joins Plixer as CTO

Kennebunk, ME, July 17, 2018 – Plixer, a leader in network traffic analytics and incident response, is announcing that Paul Piccard, a cybersecurity expert from McAfee, has joined Plixer as its new Chief Technology Officer and SVP of Engineering. Piccard most recently served as Senior Director at McAfee, leading engineering and research teams supporting McAfee’s portfolio of antivirus, web security, network appliance, and cloud-based products. Previously, he was the Director of Threat Research for Webroot Software and held various management roles for IBM Internet Security Systems.

Piccard has a track record of successfully scaling R&D organizations through a focus on automation, which has resulted in multiple award-winning security products and solutions. Piccard will help drive innovation in Plixer’s network and security intelligence platform, Scrutinizer®. The platform excels at collecting metadata from large, multi-vendor networks and cloud deployments to detect, visualize, contextualize, report, and respond to network and security incidents.
