We are presenting with SonicWALL on March 2nd @ 2PM ET.  The title is:
Next Generation Firewalls for Federal: Enabling App Intelligence

Sonicwall IPFIX support

This webcast is much different from what we cover in our SonicWALL training videos.  In this webcast, SonicWALL will present on the new features of the NSA and SuperMassive firewalls and how they exports IPFIX. IPFIX is the proposed standard for NetFlow.   The agenda includes:

  • SonicWALLs next generation Firewall Technology
  • Application Intelligence and Control
  • Identifying and controlling Social Media sites
  • The SonicWALL interface
  • What is IPFIX and how is it related to NetFlow
  • Application Identification using IPFIX
  • Identifying wireless handheld devices (e.g. iphone) via MAC addresses
  • VoIP Latency and packet loss Reporting

Will this baby compete with the Cisco ASA or Checkpoint firewalls? If you are interested in a new firewall or in what can be done with IPFIX exports, you might want to register. [Registration Closed]

Michael

Michael is one of the Co-founders and the former product manager for Scrutinizer. He enjoys many outdoor winter sports and often takes videos when he is snowmobiling, ice fishing or sledding with his kids. Cold weather and lots of snow make the best winters as far as he is concerned. Prior to starting Somix and Plixer, Mike worked in technical support at Cabletron Systems, acquired his Novell CNE and then moved to the training department for a few years. While in training he finished his Masters in Computer Information Systems from Southern New Hampshire University and then left technical training to pursue a new skill set in Professional Services. In 1998 he left the 'Tron' to start Somix which later became Plixer.
