Server Monitoring Overview:
WebNM for server monitoring supports Linux, Windows and Unix. Staple monitoring of basic necessities include: availability, response time, CPU, memory, disk space, logs, etc. Windows services and processes can also be monitored. Easily assembled transactions empower WebNM to monitor almost any application. Once collected, all data is available for reporting via the console and the dashboards.

Highlights:
Monitors virtually any IP address or application
Provides latency to virtually any IP address or application
Supports SNMPv1, v2, v3 and WMI (interfaces and CPU utilization, etc.)
Syslog, Event Log, SNMP Trap and email message collection
Historical Trending on all of the above, inclusive of scheduled emailed reports
Real-time graphical alarm consoles
Dashboard integration

More Features:
Real-time trends via a web browser
Schedule maintenance downtime
Integration with almost any 3rd party monitoring solution
Leverages agents, but not dependant on them
Service Level Reports on any variable being monitored
Threshold notifications
Extensive notification support: pager, email, syslog, execute script, SMS, etc.

Benefits:
Reduced the amount of 3rd party tools necessary to support the business
Integrates with the industry's most popular network monitoring solutions
On demand web status and reports

Server Monitoring beyond a ping
WebNM doesn't stop at pinging devices or even checking TCP and UDP ports. The poller can perform routine checks using WMI, SNMP and even involved transaction scripts. All of this can be historically trended for availability and latency.

Cisco IP SLA (formally SAA)
Viewing data as seen from a central location is only partially beneficial. WebNM will work with your existing routers and switches (i.e. without deploying probes) to gather response time from multiple points around the network. In short, with WebNM we can use your existing Cisco routers to perform the following:
UDP Echo measures the response time from the Cisco router to any IP device
Jitter measures direct packet loss and jitter. Jitter is inter-packet delay variance. It is very important when utilizing VoIP/Video.
HTTP measures Round Trip Time (RTT) taken to connect and access data from an HTTP server.
DNS Lookup RTT
TCP Connect RTT
HTTP transaction time RTT
DHCP measures the RTT taken to discover a DHCP server and obtain a lease from it. The IP address is then released.
DLS+ measures the DLSw+ protocol stack and the network response time between DLSw peers.
DNS measures the response time by taking the difference between the time token to send DNS requests and receiving a reply.

Graphical network layout
Servers can be represented in groups, presented topographically or via business unit. They can even be grouped with the network equipment.

Server dashboards
Dashboards or even html web pages can be configured to display only the data requested.

Performance trending and reporting
WebNM tracks health information on the 3 staple reports:
Utilization of all interfaces and the vital signs of the devices (e.g. CPU, memory, etc.)
Availability of pinging the device compared to the SNMP sysUpTime (i.e. operation since last reboot)
Response time

Monitoring QoS
All of the data collected can be used for historical trending, dashboards and emailed reports using definable date ranges.

Event Logs
WebNM can act as a repository for Microsoft Events, syslogs, SNMP Traps and emailed messages. Logalot, WebNM's syslog collection server, can receive messages from all the devices on the network and provide:
Correlation regarding who is sending the same type of messages
Notification only if the unique message becomes excessive (e.g. 5 within a 2 minute interval)
Forwarding of messages to HP OpenView, Nework Node Manager, CA Unicenter-TNG, BMC Patrol and others
Trends the frequency of matching message trends
Health reports on the frequency of certain messages, devices sending the most messages, etc.

NetFlow
Search for machines and identify traffic patterns on specific network subnets:
