Cisco's VoIP solution uses RTP and RTCP. RTP carries the actual conversation. The RTP protocol uses RTCP
(Real Time Control Protocol) to control the delivery of RTP packets. While RTP ports use even numbers, RTCP
ports use odd numbers in the range of 16384-32767. In Scrutinizer, visit
Settings\Known Applications to define applications using a range of ports.
Guarantee data flow priority
Verify prioritized traffic through Scrutinizer's QoS Tab to ensure that network critical applications are not suffering from unnecessary congestion.
