Mix Master Mitch was also kind enough to give Systrax an exclusive interview. It was hard to pull him away from his legion of screaming fans, but he managed to sneak off for a few minutes to give us his insight on his latest creation.

Systrax: So, Mix Master… Can I call you Mitch?
MMM: You can call me Mr. Mix Master. [laughs] Nah! Mitch is fine.
Systrax: Okay. So, Mitch, it must feel great to have the new video released. So far it looks like it’s being very well recieved by the fans.
MMM: Yeah, man! This new track is off the hizzle, fo’ shizzle!
Systrax: What was different about the approach to this video from your last one?
MMM: For the 6509 rap, we really wanted to bring it back and kick it old school for a while. You know – bringin’ it back to the good ol’ days. No fancy cars. No planes. Just keepin’ it real in the data center with my homies.
Systrax: I see. So again, you played both parts in this rap. Do you think that speaks to your acting talents at all?
MMM: Most definitely! You know – it was really hard for me to be all geeky and whatnot. But I just worked really hard and the gangsta you see before you was transformed into an IT nerd. I can’t deny my talent.
Systrax: Certainly. Do you think you’ve outdone yourself on…
MMM: Yo! I’mma let you finish. But Mix Master Mitch had one of the best videos of all time! [laughs] Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. Get it? Kanye West? [laughs again] Nevermind… But yeah, all of my videos are special to me, but I am extra proud of this track. We worked really hard on it.
Systrax: Well, we are just about out of time. Is there anything else you would like to say to our readers before you go?
MMM: You know it! I just want to say that I love all of my fans. Without you all I couldn’t be doin’ what I’m doing’. You know – makin’ the world a better place with my rhymes. And don’t forget to keep lookin’ for more Mix Master Mitch tracks in the future.
Systrax: Thanks for your time today, Mitch. Good luck with the new single.
MMM: Peace!

If the Cisco Catalyst 6509 rap is your first exposure to the collaborative genious of Mix Master Mitch and Plixer International Records, then make sure to check out the other singles.

We hope you enjoyed the new single. Keep it real homies!

One Response to “Cisco Catalyst 6509 Rap – Mix Master Mitch strikes again!”

  1. Roland Dobbins Says:

In my opinion, due to limitations in the EARL7 ASIC, NetFlow exported from 6500s/7600s is pretty much operationally useless, due to overflow of the mls table caused by the small table and lack of packet-sampled flow creation, the lack of TCP flags, and the lack of stats on dropped traffic.

The Cisco Nexus 7000, based upon the EARL8 ASIC, fixes these issues; hopefully, an EARL8-based Supervisor and DFC-enabled LCs will in future fix this for the 6500 series, as well.
