Cisco Medianet Network Performance Monitoring with NetFlow

I’m very excited to tell everyone about our Flexible NetFlow support for Cisco Medianet Performance monitoring. Cisco predicts that by 2013 91% of all network traffic will be voice/video streams.
Medianet is an intelligent end-to-end network that combines video technologies in the business, home and service provider networks. More than just higher bandwidth, it optimizes video and rich media traffic. More specifically, they have incorporated intelligence into the protocol infrastructure to help meet the QoS demands. Our solution is the first to report on the new metrics Cisco imbedded into Flexible NetFlow templates. Network traffic analysis with the advanced filtering in our NetFlow Management solution is further proof that our software provides the very best in NetFlow reporting.
Over the last couple of months we have had regular conference calls with the Cisco Medianet NetFlow contacts. Discussions were mostly related to what was in the templates and what data to report on. For a huge company, I’m surprise how nimble Cisco can be. The engineers we worked with were very responsive to our questions. We don’t see this with some of their competitors.
Today, Scrutinizer is the first NetFlow reporting solution for Cisco Medianet. Our NetFlow Analyzer delivers detailed reports on all traffic related to Voice and Video and troubleshooting issues related to choppy communications is much easier thanks to these new NetFlow exports.
