What does Cisco’s Flexible NetFlow (FNF) have to do with LEGO blocks?

Well, if you’ve been struggling with configuring Flexible NetFlow on your Cisco routers, using LEGO blocks as an analogy for creating the data export record can simplify the process of the FNF configuration, bringing you closer to the end goal of managing your network traffic flow.

SUNY Geneseo Network Manager Rick Coloccia found that analyzing Cisco NetFlow packets was the key to network traffic management and monitoring internet use and abuse.

Plixer International, developers of a market leading NetFlow and sFlow analysis tool set, today released Scrutinizer NetFlow & sFlow Analyzer version 7.3, bringing network traffic analysis software to the next level.

With the latest release of their NetFlow analyzer, Plixer has introduced several new report types, including NBAR reports. Just the other day, Brad Reese from Network World wrote a nice blog reflecting on the recent announcement of H.P. acquiring 3Com.

With a huge announcement like this, naturally there are a lot of reactions and opinions. This kind of move may impact a lot of people and their current network strategies.
