What do these two have in common?  For most people, probably nothing.

But here at Plixer International, the last business day before the Christmas holiday break, it has been customary to set up a game server with the Quake game on it.

Everyone brings some yummy food to share (brownies, meatballs, cheese & crackers, are some of the options), and for a few hours of the day, work takes a back seat to eating and gaming.

Personally, playing Quake isn’t my idea of a good time.  Chasing opponents down dark hallways shooting at them, screams and blood.  Not for me.

About a month ago one of our customers experienced some problems with a mail server during an email campaign.  Since the customer had Mailinizer for exchange log reporting installed, we were able to run a few email reports. We noticed that after a couple of hours the volume of email being sent started to tail off.  At first, would couldn’t understand what was happening.

While attending CeBit in Germany last March, I was able to meet our German reseller, TCC Gmbh, as well as our Nordic reseller, Plan Two. These types of meetings are important for two reasons. The first is being able to put a face with a name. Knowing who you are talking to and being able to associate that person with a physical meeting can go a long way in helping that relationship grow. The second is market understanding. In the international arena, having strong resellers who understand their client’s needs, as well as their country’s laws and regulations is necessary. It is the only way you can ensure growth in that country.

This month, I had the privilege of meeting with our largest UK reseller, Teneo.

Recently we released an email reporting solution that provides in depth reporting on exchange logs. Releasing an exchange log analyzer on the surface may not seem all that innovative, however we did it with a big twist. This isn’t just an “email tracker” as it has some significant email security benefits.

Mailinizer is a full Microsoft Exchange log analysis solution that when paired with Scrutinizer provides access to all event types with sophisticated include and exclude filtering.
